Evil exes

What is it about exes that makes you want to talk to them so bad? In a normal dimension, you would only have the desire to let in those who you love, the people who deserve to be there. But in 21st century world, talking to someone months or years after they screwed you over holds some kind of sick excitement ... Satisfies some pathetic yearning for drama and lust. It never ends well, and we cry like babies and bitch like elderly people with arthritis when it doesn't. And of course, we blame them for "pushing their way back into our lives" as if we didn't open the front door right up and offer them our newly vaccumed couches to sit on. How dare they? We didn't ask for this!
